8th Grade Retreat

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are excited to offer our 8th-grade students a memorable retreat experience! Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of fun, fellowship, and adventure. Please review the details below, as there are two options available.

Retreat Details:

  • Date: Friday, September 26, 2025 (retreat only) - Saturday, September 27, 2025 (overnight only)
     
  • Location: Camelback Mountain Resort 193 Resort Drive Tannersville, PA 18372

Option 1: RETREAT ONLY

  • Time: Depart at 9:00 AM
     
  • Return to NFA: Approximately 9:00 pm
     
  • Cost: $125 per 8th Grade student
     
  • Includes:
    • Round-trip transportation
       
    • Lunch and dinner
       
    • Outdoor activities including zipline, sunbowling, mountain coaster, and mini-golf
       
    • Full retreat experience

Option 2: RETREAT & OVERNIGHT STAY

  • Parents are invited to book a room to stay with their student overnight at the resort. However, school staff will not be present to chaperone or supervise overnight.
     
  • An NFA parent chaperone is required for any student staying overnight.
     
    • If another NFA parent has agreed to chaperone your child, please arrange this directly with the family prior to registration.
       
    • If you plan for your child to bunk or room with other students, coordinate with the other families beforehand to ensure roommates are properly listed for the group.

Please select your preferred option and ensure all arrangements are made as necessary. We look forward to a safe and enjoyable retreat experience for all students and will share more trip details once we are booked. 

We are delighted to report that with our booking Camelback has waived the resort fee for all room bookings.  You must book through NFA using this form.

I/We hereby release and save harmless, the school of Norwood-Fontbonne Academy and any and all of its employees from any and all liability for any and all harm arising to my/our son/daughter as a result of this trip. In case of a medical emergency, and where I/we cannot be reached in advance, I/we hereby give permission to Norwood-Fontbonne Academy and/or the named supervising parent/chaperone to secure proper medical treatment for my child as named above.required
