8th Grade: Spring 2026 Events

As their time at NFA draws to a close, our 8th graders are looking forward to the many meaningful traditions in the weeks ahead. Please see below for important upcoming events. Additional details for select events will be shared as we get closer to each date.
Monday, April 27 - Friday, May 1
- The Class of 2026 is hosting a clothing drive to fund the 8th grade legacy gift. The drive will begin on Monday, April 27 and end on Friday, May 1. All donations can be placed on the back porch of the Big House on the Norwood Campus starting on April 27. CLICK HERE to see full details.

- Ascension Thursday Mass (9:00am, Fontbonne Commons) - Led By The Class of 2026
- Graduation rehearsal following Mass in the FontbonneCommons (until 11:30 am)
Friday, May 15
- High School Apparel Day (8th grade students are invited to wear a t-shirt, accessory, or school colors of the high school they will attend in the fall)
- Class photo in high school swag at 9:30 am on the Norwood Campus
- Graduation rehearsal in the Fontbonne Commons (12:30-2:30pm)
Wednesday, May 20
- Graduation rehearsal in the Fontbonne Commons from 8:15-10am (drop off at Fontbonne Commons)
- Petting Zoo (10am - 12pm_
- Houses Field Day, 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm
THURSDAY - MAY 21 - DEADLINE FOR LETTER
As part of our graduation tradition, we invite the parents of our 8th grade students to write a letter to their graduate sharing the gifts and qualities you see in them, along with what it has meant to journey alongside them throughout these years. Both parents are welcome to contribute their thoughts, but we kindly ask that each student receive at least one letter.

- 8th Grade Derby Event (1:30pm, SJAH Gym)
Thursday, May 28
- Ascension Thursday Mass, 9:00 am (drop off at Fontbonne Commons)
- Graduation Rehearsal, 10:00-11:30 am (Fontbonne Commons)
Friday, May 29
- Graduation Rehearsal, 8:15-11:30 am (drop off at Fontbonne Commons)
- Blue and Gold Day, 12:45-2:45 pm
- The Student Council will host Blue and Gold Day. Students should come dressed in their assigned team color (blue or gold along with gym shorts or sweatpants. (Homeroom teachers will assign each student to either a blue or gold team.)
- Students may add light flair to their dress such as bandanas, socks, hats, hair ribbons, or bows.
- Tank tops and sandals are not permitted.

Monday, June 1
- Alumni Induction Ceremony and Breakfast, 8:15-9:15 am (Big House)
- Final graduation rehearsal, 9:30-10:45am
- Clap Out and Dismissal, 11:00 am (students with permission may walk the Avenue) (PERMISSION SLIP - COMPLETE IF NOT SUBMITTED BEFORE)
Graduation Activities Begin
- Family photos in Nello’s Garden, 4:00 pm
- Class of 2025 Graduation Photo, 4:30 pm
- Graduation Mass & Graduation Ceremony, 5:00 pm (approximately 2 hours)
- Group photos following the ceremony for award recipients
Details
- Seats are reserved for students, parents, and staff.
- Open seating is available for all other guests, with no limit on attendance.
Attire
- Girls: light-colored attire (dark colors may show through the white gowns), with sensible dress shoes (no sneakers; heels of appropriate height).
- Boys: shirt and tie (short sleeves permitted due to heat), dress pants (no jeans), and dress shoes (no sneakers).
