50th Snowball Tournament

Student-athletes should plan to arrive to NFA at least 30 minutes prior
to their games.

FRIDAY FUN

PEP RALLY - Friday, Feb. 23 - 1pm
The tournament weekend starts off with an in-school pep rally in SJAH Gym at 1pm. Students are encouraged to wear their Snowball t-shirts or blue and gold to support the teams. Players should come to school in their uniforms/warm ups. 

COCKTAIL RECEPTION (21+) - Friday, Feb. 23 - 5pm
If you would like to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Snowball Tournament with us on Friday night, please click here to RSVP for our cocktail reception, taking place at 5pm in the Big House (on the Norwood campus). This is for any and all interested parties over 21: alumni, past Snowball Chairs, current parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and more. RSVP!

HONORING CEREMONY - Friday, Feb. 23 - 6:30pm
We will honor Sid MacLeod, one of the founding fathers of the Snowball Tournament, and past members of the Snowball Committee between the varsity girls' game (5:30pm) and the varsity boys' game (7pm) on Friday night. Please join us at 6:30pm for this special moment!

8TH GRADE RECOGNITION - Friday, Feb. 23 - 6:30pm
We will honor our 8th grade winter student-athletes (boys and girls) in between the girls game on Friday, Feb. 23. The honoring ceremony will begin at 5pm.

VARSITY GAMES - Friday, Feb. 23
The varsity girls' team will play at 5:30pm on Friday night and the boys will play at 7:15pm. Come on out and cheer on the Bears! The full schedule will be posted online shortly.

ALUMNI BASKETBALL GAME - Friday, Feb. 23 - 8:30pm
If you are a graduate of NFA and you’d like to play in our alumni game on Friday, Feb. 23, please click here to register. The alumni game will start at approximately 8:30pm in the Sister James Anthony Hall Gym. We’d love to have you join the Bears, and free NFA merch will be available for all participants!

UNDER 21 ALUMNI EVENT - Friday, Feb. 23 - All Night
Please meet Mrs. Greenberg in the Science Lab next to the Sister James Anthony Hall Gym on Friday night for refreshments. RSVP ONLINE.

BEAR DEN POP-UP SHOP! - Friday, Feb. 23 - All Night
We will host a Bear Den Pop-up Shop throughout the Snowball Tournament. Bear Den gear will definitely be for sale Friday night, but also keep an eye on NFA’s social media to see what hours the pop-up shop will be open throughout the weekend.

PARKING

Parking will be available on both of our campuses (Norwood, 8891 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 and Fontbonne, 8900 Norwood Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118).

Should you have trouble finding parking on the Norwood campus, we will have overflow parking behind Chestnut Hill Presbyterian Church located right next door (8855 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118).

LOCATIONS

The 2024 Snowball Tournament will be played in the Sister James Anthony Hall Gym on the Norwood Campus (8891 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118) and Fontbonne Commons on the Fontbonne Campus (8900 Norwood Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118.)

Please note that on Saturday, Feb. 24, all varsity games will take place in the SJAH Gym on the Norwood Campus and all JV games will take place in The Commons on the Fontbonne Campus.

SNACK BAR

We will have plenty of terrific items for sale all weekend at the snack bar in the SJAH Gym and Fontbonne Commons. Please plan to bring cash and/or credit cards. We will also accept Apple Pay.
