Meg Kane '95 Honored for Her Philadelphia Soccer 2026 Success!

Norwood-Fontbonne Academy alumna Meg Kane '95 will be honored with Starfinder's Visionary Leader Award in honor of its founder, Tony Williams, during the organization's event on March 16.

Kane is the President and CEO of Signature 57 and Host City Executive for Philadelphia Soccer 2026. She and her company played an instrumental role in bringing the 2026 FIFA World Cup to Philadelphia. 

Starfinder is a sports-based youth development organization using soccer to inspire social change and transform the lives of youth from underserved neighborhoods in the Philadelphia region.

"The tireless efforts of Meg – and the entire Philadelphia Soccer 2026 Board and team –were instrumental in Philadelphia’s successful bid to be a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Since joining the effort in 2019, she has served as the liaison between the City, key partners/venues, and FIFA, focusing on the development of the City's narrative case for hosting and the delivery of all technical responses for the bid. Now, as Host City Executive, Meg leads the operationalization of the Host City Committee, which is responsible for ensuring the successful hosting of World Cup matches at Lincoln Financial Field, a 30-day Fan Fest, welcoming nearly a half million visitors to Philadelphia, and more, in the summer of 2026.
