NFA seeks full-time teaching assistants for its early childhood and elementary programs for the 2024-2025 school year. The responsibilities for this position include assisting the lead teacher in developing the classroom environment, helping students through work cycles, and guiding students through assignments while demonstrating independence and personal accountability. They must work collaboratively with the lead teacher in the classroom to create a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- An associate degree preferred
- Collaborate with and assist the lead teacher.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
- Enforces school rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
- Perform other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field preferred
- Valid PA teaching certification/license in Music Education preferred
- Experience teaching and directing choir preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school community.
