Middle School Football Coaches

Norwood-Fontbonne Academy is searching for JV (5th and 6th grade) and Varsity (7th and 8th grade) football coaches. NFA is located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute engaging and effective football practices.
  • Develop players' skills and understanding of the game.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled games, practices, and team events.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with players, parents, and school administration.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience, preferred at the middle school level, but not a requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young student athletes.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive environment
  • Willingness to adhere to all school and league policies and procedures.
  • Must complete or provide 

Schedule and Compensation:

  • This is a part-time position with after-school commitments and one Saturday during the soccer season. (August 26th through October 31st). Practices take place on Norwood’s campus (8900 Germantown Ave.) and home games take place at LaSalle College High School on Saturday mornings. One coach must take the bus to practices and games with the team.
     
  • The team practices Mondays through Wednesday and on Fridays from 3:15-5:00pm.
     
  • Preseason: August 26, August 27, August 28 (8 - 10am).
