Norwood-Fontbonne Academy is searching for coaches for its Cross Country Club (4th - 8th Grade). NFA is located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute engaging and effective cross country practices.
- Develop skills and understanding of the sport.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled races, practices, and team events.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, preferred at the middle school level, but not a requirement.
- Strong knowledge of cross country techniques, strategies, and rules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young student-athletes.
- Commitment to fostering a positive environment
- Willingness to adhere to all school and league policies and procedures.
- Must complete or provide
- Criminal Background History Clearances
- PA Child Abuse Clearances
- Federal Criminal History Record forms (fingerprinting).The following online forms also also required
- “Protecting God’s Children (PGC) – Awareness Session for Adults”
- Mandated Reporter training
- Act 126 online training-Professional Ethics and Educator Discipline Act
