Classroom Information
School Day Our school day begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. If your child is absent from school, please call the Fontbonne Office before 9:00 a.m. In addition, a note explaining the absence is expected upon the child’s return to school. Notes Notes are required for all absences, change of dismissal plans (i.e. car instead of bus), or anything out of the ordinary. Lunch Please include a towel or a placemat with your child’s lunch. The towel or placemat will be sent home with your child on Friday afternoons so it may be washed. Names Please mark every item that your child owns (clothing, bookbags, shoes, etc.) It is easier to find the owners of lost items if they are clearly marked. Birthdays Children usually bring in cupcakes or cookies to share on their special day. Please include enough for the entire second grade class. There are presently 23 children on roll in the second grade. VCF (Virtual Communication Folder) This contains communication from NFA. It includes both school-wide and individual classroom information. It is updated weekly on Wednesday. Sacraments This is a very spiritual year of growth for your child. The sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated on Thursday, November 12, 2009. The sacrament of First Eucharist will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010. More information regarding these two special events will be sent to you as the days draw near.
