Curriculum Council

The Curriculum Council is a representative body of NFA administrators and teachers who work together to research, collaborate and then teach the most current educational best practices to the rest of our faculty.


Curriculum Council representatives include:

  • Director of Lower Grades,
  • Director of Upper Grades,
  • Director of Campus Ministry,
  • Director of Admissions,
  • Technology Team,
  • Librarian,
  • Learning Support Team,
  • Montessori Pre-School Teachers
  • Junior Level Montessori Teachers, and
  • Teacher leaders representing Religion, Integrated Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Enrichment subjects from Norwood-Fontbonne's creative interactive Primary program.

Recent studies of the Curriculum Council have been the appropriate amount and quality of homework, teacher peer observation, differentiation of instruction gender studies in the modern classroom, and best practices of assessment and instruction in the 21st century classroom.

Members of the Curriculum Council often provide professional development to Norwood-Fontbonne Academy's instructional faculty.
